Marking Time
I fell in love with quilts in the mid-1980s.
To this day, I love piecing fabric and the element of mystery and chance as I add each new scrap. These earlier constructions are my first ventures into collage. I haven't strayed very far afield.
My work brings to mind Cezanne who said “Painting from nature is not copying the object; it is realizing one’s sensations.” He called his paintings ‘Constructions’ after nature.
